HAPPY NEW YEAR

Wish You “HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008”: Special Collections

New Year New Hope,
I forever liked the idea of a new year. I'm very optimistic 2008 will be my best yet, especially if I meet someone special. Who knows? Maybe she's here on EP already and we just haven't bumped into each other yet. You never know.

My dear friend, I wish you harmony

Throughout the coming year

May you have dreams that never cease

And moments filled with cheer

From dawn’s first light to evening’s close

I hope your heart will know

Beauty, like that found in a rose

And love that yearns to grow.

My dear friend, I wish you wealth

in spite of its form

I pray that you’ll have ideal health

While staying safe and warm

May every path you choose to stride

Be one without a test

But, should you find your spirit tried

For you, I hope the best.

My dear friend, I wish you well

Throughout the year, anew

May good luck cast a hopeful spell

O’er everything you do

So, come December’s bitter end

You’ll have all that you need

Best wishes for the New Year, friend

Where’re your roads shall lead.

Hollywood Movie Collection

Online Hollywood Movie Collection: 2007 A Great Year For Hollywood Movies-

There Will Be Blood

Release Date: 2007

Director: Paul Thomas Anderson

Starring: Daniel Day-Lewis, Paul Dano

Synopsis: A story about family, greed, religion, and oil, centered around a turn-of-the-century Texas prospector in the early days of the business. The Hype: An adaptation of a novel by Upton Sinclair and directed by the guy behind Boogie Nights and Magnolia comes this film about family, greed, religion, and oil. May be an epic drama worth its penny when it comes out next year.

TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Release Date: March 23, 2007

Director: Kevin Munroe

Starring: Patrick Stewart, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Chris Evans, Zhang Ziyi, Kevin Smith

Synopsis: Strange events are occurring in New York City, and the Turtles are needed more than ever, but Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo have become lost and directionless. With the city at stake, it's up to Leonardo and Zen Master Splinter to restore unity and ninja discipline to the Turtles. The Hype: The geeks can rejoice! The revival of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film franchise is coming back, this time in CGI animation. Although a bit shaky at first when you hear about the CGI, you'll change your mind entirely (for the better) once you see the trailer. Cowabunga!

Transformers

Release Date: July 4, 2007

Director: Michael Bay

Starring: Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Jon Voight, Bernie Mac, Tyrese Gibson

Synopsis: Dueling alien races, the Autobots and the Decepticons, bring their battle to Earth, leaving the future of humankind hanging in the balance. The Hype: Many of our childhood memories are brightened by the mention of Transformers. And it's now come time for a live action Transformers movie that will spend nearly a year in CGI development to tweak and perfect the transformations and robot elements; on top of being directed by Michael Bay and being released on our nation's day of celebration - July 4th. Another film that may top the list in 2007 - at least in the "totally badass" category.

Zodiac

Release Date: March 2, 2007

Director: David Fincher

Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Edwards

Synopsis: Based on the Robert Graysmith books about the real life notorious Zodiac, a serial killer who terrorized San Francisco with a string of seemingly random murders during the 1960s and 1970s. The Hype: Attendees at test screenings have already made an effort to come out and speak on the internet heralding David Fincher's post-Fight Club film to be simply an astounding "novel-like" piece in the works.

Bollywood Movie Collection: Misses Of The Year 2007

Nishabdh: The orthodox and conservative Indian audience couldn't gel in with the concept of an old man(that too Amitabh) romancing an 18 year old (loud) teenager. And the movie got diverse reactions from the critics.

Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag: Aargh! Ramu, you shouldn't have touched the 70s classic 'Sholay'. It is one of your most depressingly disappointing work.

Saawariya: This 'blue' film quite didn't go down with the audience. Inspite of all the hype that was created, it fell flat among the audience. The reason being, an overbaked version of a very simple romance.

Salaam E Ishq: Inspite of the colourful costumes, great cinematography, locations and not to forget a huge star cast, this movie didn't create any magic at the box office. Nikhil failed to cram six different love stories in a single movie.

Shakalaka Boom Boom: The promos of the movie were quite stylish. But Suneel Darshan created a ritzy mess of the movie. Poor acting by all the stars made the movie a big disappointment.

Awarapan: An extremely serious movie tries to show the dilemma of a sensitive heartbroken aashiq. It was unnecessarily dragged and audience were quite bored. The kisser boy couldn't kiss success with this movie.

Cash: Cash was clearly a case of expectations gone awry. The excitement and expectations built over weeks of generously administered trailers and promotions all turn damp squib which made the movie a big disappointment.

Eklavya: Yeah, we know it's India's official entry to Oscars, but sill this movie didn't create any wonders due to the loopholes in the script and a few unbaked characters.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom: Audience wanted to walk out of the theaters half way the movie. This movie had nothing to offer but a superb star cast and great music.

Laaga Chunari Mein Daag: One more from Yash Raj camp. This journey of a woman didn't become a successful destination. Queen Mukherji couldn't create any sparks this year.

Some gorgeous beauty on omc

Bipasha Basu - seen here at a stage performance IIFA awards - has been named the sexiest Asian woman in the world 2007 by a leading London-based Asian newspaper Eastern Eye.
The Defending Champ
Last year's winner Priyanka Chopra was the third on the list. The 25-year-old is seen in this file picture at a promotional event of her Hindi movie Waqt, the race against time.

Katrina Strikes
Her exotic looks and peaches-and-cream complexion made Bollywood lap her instantly. Her association with actor Salman Khan is much spoken about. Here Kaif is seen arriving for the IIFA awards.

Dutt(a)'s the Way
This former beauty queen has no real hits to her credit. But that surely doesn't stop her from finding a place in this list. Lara Dutta is seen at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week show in New Delhi.

Another Bloody John Rambo Trailer - They Just Don't Stop!
September 8, 2007
Source: Break.com
by Alex Billington
The buzz on John Rambo (aka Rambo IV) has been insane since we first posted the promo trailer back in May. Following that was a burly batch of great photos and now there's another new entirely brutal and awesome trailer. You know you want to watch it! John Rambo is quickly building up into one badass film and it looks incredible. Any of you who saw Shoot 'Em Up this weekend may be still hyped off of the non-stop action in that and this looks like it'll live up or even beat Shoot 'Em Up!

Horror Trailer Friday: Japanese Remake One Missed Call
August 31, 2007
Source: Yahoo
by Alex Billington

The studios are jumping on the release of Rob Zombie's Halloween this Labor Day weekend to throw every other upcoming horror film trailer into the mix. Yesterday it was The Mist, then this morning it was The Signal, and now it's One Missed Call. This remake from a 2003 Japanese horror film titled Chakushin ari stars Ed Burns and Shannyn Sossamon and doesn't look like anything extraordinary. They're saving it for dumping early next January, so take a look and determine if you'll be making your way to the theaters once we hit New Years Day.

Trailer for Katherine Heigl's 27 Dresses
October 4, 2007
Source: Yahoo
by Alex Billington
Did you enjoy The Devil Wears Prada? Good. Now look at this cast: Katherine Heigl, James Marsden, Ed Burns, Malin Akerman. If all of that got you excited, then you're the perfect person for 27 Dresses. Just like The Devil Wears Prada, a title with "dresses" in it immediately means it's not really for men, unless you're like me who enjoys the occasionally sappy romance. This cute rom-com is about a woman who's been a bridesmaid 27 times but never able to be successful in a relationship of her own. I leave the rest to the trailer, as it really sells the story well.

What is Cloverfield? Intense New Extended Clip Revealed!
December 13, 2007
Source: CloverfieldClues.com
by Alex Billington
Just when I thought the day was starting to wind down, I stumbled across what may have been the most exhilarating discovery of the entire month. We've all seen the latest trailer for Cloverfield, but the question still remains - What is Cloverfield? J.J. Abrams and the team at Paramount have released a special widget for your use which contains an extended clip. It's the intro scene with Rob at his party and the Statue of Liberty's head, but it's the complete scene without any edits or cuts. This is the most intense and exciting thing I have seen in a long, long time. You need to watch this right now!
Just click play below to watch the extended clip from Cloverfield. J.J. Abrams is also hosting a special contest for whoever gets the most "grabs" of this widget will win a special early screening of Cloverfield in their own hometown. Freakin’ sweet!
Click on Grab This above to add it to your page on Facebook, MySpace, your own blog, or wherever you want. The more places the better! And if you want to enter the contest, if you click on Grab This it will provide a form for you to sign-up and the codes needed to put this on your own page.
I still don't know what the f**k the monster is, nor does anyone out there. This will remain a mystery until January 18th. The only thing I can tell you is after watching this clip, I am PUMPED. I can't wait to see this movie. It's already a classic in the making and it looks like it is going to be intense as all hell!
Cloverfield is directed by Matt Reeves (The Pallbearer, "Felicity") and written by Drew Goddard ("Lost" and "Alias"). The film arrives in theaters on its designated day when it also actually takes place, January 18th, 2008.

Worth Watching - Nov 16: Teeth Trailer - Cult Sundance Hit!
November 16, 2007
Source: IGN
by Alex Billington
I've been talking Teeth since I caught the world premiere at Sundance in January and was raving about this new cult classic in the making (read my review). The problem is this trailer is awful! This movie is way more comedic than it is scary and way more lighthearted (sort of) than the trailer makes it out to be (at least). And what the heck is with the rose as the title background?! I mean, women connect with this movie a lot more, but it is partially horror and they need to market it to everyone! Either way, you need to check this out. Need I remind you what it's about? Here's a hint: genital dentata.
Lionsgate sold the rights sometime this year and now Roadside Attractions is putting it out in theaters around February of next year. This trailer comes courtesy of IGN, but I hope another (better) one comes around soon.

Must Watch: Michel Gondry's Be Kind Rewind Trailer!
August 8, 2007
Source: Yahoo
by Alex Billington
If you haven't already heard about it, then here's your first look at the brand new full length trailer for Michel Gondry's (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep) new film - Be Kind Rewind. It's another quirky comedy this time starring two of my favorite on-screen comedians: Jack Black and Mos Def. I've got real strong feeling this could be one of my favorite movies of the year. As they say in the trailer, this looks like its got a lot of "heart and soul," even while being a comedy. You DON'T want to miss this trailer - so kick back, relax, and enjoy!
I'm getting nostalgic even just watching this trailer and remembering that old mom-and-pop VHS store that we used to rent from back in the day. This is a movie that's made for movie lovers from the brilliant mind of one of my own favorite filmmakers. Even the Billy Preston "Nothing From Nothing" song is a perfect fit - damn does this look good!
